Alicona InfiniteFocus G6 - Optical 3D Measurement

InfiniteFocus G6 is an accurate, fast and universal optical 3D measuring device designed for optical surface roughness measurement & shape measurement, particularly for smooth and highly polished surfaces. Operating within the µm and sub-µm range, this device provides precise results regardless of component size, material, geometry, weight, or surface finish, all accomplished with only one optical sensor.

This innovative surface measuring device combines the functionalities of a roughness measuring system (Ra, Rq, Rz/Sa, Sq, Sz) with the characteristics of a coordinate measuring machine. Its robust Focus-Variation technology and the vibration-insensitive design ensure high-resolution and repeatable results, even when located directly next to the machine tool.

In addition to its exceptional performance in manufacturing settings, the InfiniteFocus G6 offers seamless integration with CAD systems for offline measurement planning. Automation

Automated round tool alignment

  • Take automation in the area of round tools to a new level. The innovative software feature allows you to plan measuring positions directly on the CAD model of your tool. After clamping the tool and starting the measurement the sensor recognizes tool orientation and aligns automatically with the CAD data.
  • This feature allows you to plan critical measuring positions for edge rounding directly on the CAD model of the tool. Clamp the tool, start the automatic alignment of round tools and let the measuring instrument automatically align the tool to the CAD data.

Pick and Place

  • InfiniteFocus can be extended with a robot arm to automatically pick, place, measure and sort components. The system is based on the interaction between an administrator who pre-defines automation processes, the collaborative robot for the manipulation and placing of components as well as high-resolution optical 3D measurement technology.

Focus Probing

The Focus Probing technology enables fast measurements of individual 3D points and contours without vertical scanning, so that metrically correct contours can be captured at a single position. 3D contours and points obtained with Focus Probing can be used, for example, to quickly measure features such as distances and diameters.

Roughness Measurement with One Click

Experience the fastest and easiest method for measuring profile surface roughness. Start the measurement with just one click and by focusing your samples. In a few moments you will receive a report with the detailed profile, the profile path and numerous roughness parameters. Advanced users enter the tolerance and MetMaX automatically selects the appropriate lens, LC filter value and profile length according to ISO standards.

Precise Edge Measurement Made Easy with PMI Edge

Measuring and evaluating edges has never been easier! Click on the desired edge in your reference model (CAD/STL), select the reference type, start the measurement and receive a graphical representation with all relevant parameters. PMI Profile of a Surface

This feature enables the inspection of free-form surfaces by creating a tolerance zone around the ideal surface from CAD data. The measured 3D data is analyzed to determine whether it lies within this tolerance zone. The feature can be used with or without references. Analyze complex samples or shapes with advanced multidirectional measurements for accurate and fast results.
