Reliable - The ATOS way

Design

ATOS Q is specifically developed for industry use and delivers fully traceable measurement results—even under harsh conditions. The optical and electronic systems of the robust, optical 3D sensor are dustproof and splash proof, making all ATOS Q sensors ideally suited for the move from the measuring room to the shop floor. Users will appreciate the ATOS Q sensor because of its simple and convenient operation.

Technology

ATOS Q captures quality information quickly and with a high degree of detail, providing a reliable basis to easily interpret this information. Its Triple Scan Principle offers advantages for measuring reflective surfaces and objects with indentations. The Blue Light Equalizer increases the brightness of the light source and transfers uniform, speckle-free light to the projection unit.

Performance

Thanks to the Blue Light Equalizer and fast data processing, ATOS Q impresses with an outstanding performance. The Blue Light Equalizer enables high-speed fringe projection and is so powerful that even on uncooperative surfaces short measuring times can be achieved. Industrial ports with fiber optic cables and robust plug-in connections allow for high data throughput.

Versatile for Any Job

atos-q-manual

Manual

With a weight of only 4 kg and its compact design, ATOS Q is light and can be easily moved. It can be used on a tripod in the measuring room but also mobile in production.

atos-q-semi-automated

Semi-automated

Combined with a tripod or alternatively a desk stand and a rotation table or a Motorization Kit, ATOS Q can be used in semiautomated operation.

atos-q-automated

Automated

ATOS Q reaches its maximum efficiency on the ZEISS ScanCobot and in the ATOS ScanBox 4105. The systems enable serial quality control with high throughput and high process reliability.

Various Applications

ATOS Q is designed as a flexible 3D scanner for complex measurement and inspection tasks in different industries. Interchangeable lenses ensure high-precision measurements of small to medium-sized parts. Changing from the smallest to the largest measuring volume is easy thanks to the fixed camera position.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How accurate is the ATOS Q?

Depending on the measuring volume and definition of accuracy, you can expect anything between a tenth of a thou and two thou. Every scanner is delivered with an accuracy certificate.

Is there a part size limit?

Anything from the size of a coin to a meter. When adding TRITOP photogrammetry you can easily scan parts up to multiple meters in size.

How difficult to use is the ATOS Q to use?

The ATOS Q is a very user-independent system: just put your part on the automatic rotation table, and scans will be taken from all sides, using automatically calculated scan parameters and automatic cut-out of unwanted data. Scans made by two different people will have the same result!
